Meet the Artists!

Renqian Yang

Category- Ceramics

Received her M.F.A. in Ceramics from Syracuse University in 2014. My goal is for the owner of each piece to continue the conversation and contribute to the story behind the art. She describes her work as a unique collection featuring functional everyday objects and limited-edition pieces, including cups, bowls, serving vessels, vases, and wall hangings.

Wendy Pound

Category- 2-D and 3-D mixed media

As a child, I was always drawn to the water and the beach. I felt a sense of peace and calmness while walking in the water, searching for treasures. As I grew older, I developed a strong appreciation for the beauty. The simplicity in my creations speaks volumes. I wish to be thought of as a creator of beauty using natural, unaltered materials.

Category - Ceramics

I am self-taught and completely in love with creating. I love the reaction of my customers when they see the function of my wares. I love being in the studio and meeting new people at each and every art show I am invited.

I'm a second-generation tailor, born and raised in Syracuse, New York—a mechanical engineer with skills in machine tools and dyeing, with 50 years of experience and a passion for my craft. As a pattern maker, creating the pattern is half of everything.

Randy Kennard

Category- Glass

I find joy in sharing my creations with others. The colors, textures, and imagery inspire me, and I hope they inspire others as well. I have been working with glass for over 17 years and love bringing my work to others.

I am a fusion glass artist, one who works with glass at room temperature and then places it in a kiln for firing. I hope the uniqueness of my work and the way the sun highlights it will enchant all who visit my booth. There is something for everyone, large or small.

Ann Marie Greco

Category- Jewelry

I create one-of-a-kind pieces. I hand-select buttons, crystals, watches, or other materials with an eye to each item's shape, color, and texture, so I create an aesthetically pleasing design. My designs project a varied aesthetic, ranging from simple, elegant styles to bold, statement jewelry. I display my creations in a historic setting, highlighted in black and purple.

Roderick Best

Category- Photography Digital Art

I have been a semi-professional photographer for the past 9 years, mainly focusing on landscape photography. Most of my work is from my travels around Upstate NY, although I occasionally travel out of state for photography. Primarily, I am a landscape photographer, but I will photograph anything that catches my eye, whether it's a landscape, both grand and intimate, or cityscapes, as well as some wildlife.

Colleen Runner

Category- Metal

Inspired Designs was founded in 2019. I am the owner and creator of recycled and repurposed barnwood, tools, vintage jewelry, lake glass, beads, old watches, and discarded kitchen tools. I use my imagination to craft whimsical designs. Whimsical. My display includes tables, handmade shelving, screens, and repurposed metal wall art to showcase my creations. I am on Facebook and Instagram.

Dean Desjardins

Category- Photography

The ability to control my photography manually has quickly become a passion, and as my knowledge grows, so does my skill in showcasing my images as I genuinely see them. It’s an art I never knew existed, and I enjoy it immensely! My work showcases some of the most beautiful landscapes and abundant wildlife found in Central New York. I have attended Photography workshops in both Maine and Alaska, and may include some of that work as well.

Curtis Jenney

Category- Jewelry

I combine the natural design of leaves and flowing water, aiming to emulate what I see in nature. Just as in nature, each leaf has its own variation in shape and texture, and I handcraft my "leaf fossils' using a natural mix of materials to create handcrafted three-tier fossil-like leaf-shaped waterfalls in a natural-looking display setting.

Laurie Picchi

Category- Wood

Our passion for wood crafts was founded by a retired carpenter's love of the beauty, grain, texture, and visual appeal of different hardwoods. Our creations are unique, beautiful, practical, and crafted from the heart. No one else creates the cutting boards and other designs we offer.

Raymond Oakes

Category- Wood

I am retired from military service and enjoy the creative outlet that wood-turning provides. Although I put a lot of love and careful thought into each piece, I also believe that the wood decides what it wants to be. I wish to be promoted as FiveOakes Lathe Turned Woodcrafts, made in Northern New York with locally sourced and exotic woods.
